New Wood Mount Cases ~ Aren't they AWESOME?

If you've been around my crafting table lately, you have no doubt heard me talking about the brand new wood-mount stamp cases that will no replace the plastic cases that once housed our stamp sets.  

These new cases look simlar to our clear-mount boxes and will not only fit perfectly on the shelf right next to them, they also have the images and stamp set name right on the spine to make your search for the right set even easier! 

Stampin' Up! has also provided us with a template for each size to make it easier for those of us who would like to convert all of our stamp sets to these new boxes to create a more uniform look in our storage area.

Monday Challenges ~ Double Shot!

Well you know sometimes it happens..   I was all gung-ho excited about last week's challenge -  it was *so* easy..  no templates to inspire us to recreate, and no preconstructed idea to follow.   Just the simple request to use our new In-colors and CREATE... 

Easy, right? 

Yes, and No!  Sadly sometimes life just gets busy and you don't get to play time..   however this is relatively good news for YOU since now you get a double shot of inspiration today! 

So here's Week 3's INKY challenge:

2nd Week "INKY Team Challenge" - New Challenge Starts Today..

I was remiss in posting last Monday's challenge card for our INKREDIBLE CANADIAN STAMPERS 'INKY' Group ~ This time it was a little different,  a card to inspire us rather than a sketch.   

This card was provided by team-mate Crystal who challenged us to be inspired and create using our retired, retiring or soon to be retired items.  

I just love getting to share our cards and keep that creative spark burning brightly... 

My take.. 

I decided that I was going to continue on my own personal stashbuster challenge and chose some retired DSP and a retired card base from my bits n bytes basket.  The stamp set was the soon-to-be-retired Ronald McDonald House fundraiser stamp "Moving Forward" ~  I opted to forego the scallop, and     when I couldn't decide what to put in a circle I left it out.  

Though it isn't colors I'd have normally put together,  I really like how this card came together.  Sometimes simple is best ~  I find myself really *liking* this card a lot more than I thought I would..  

I cannot wait to see what this week's challenge looks like!
